Psalm 63 (62): 2; 3-4; 5-6; 8-9. R. 2b

Psalm 63 expresses the longing of the soul for God, rejoicing in his steadfast help and declaring ‘I will bless you all my life’, as the psalmist clings to the Lord with trust. On this Sunday, the psalm’s devotion complements Jeremiah’s struggle to remain faithful and prepares us for the Gospel, where Jesus calls his disciples to take up their cross and follow him with wholehearted commitment.
