Psalm 116(115): 12-13; 15,16bc; 17-18. R. cf. Corinthians 10:16

On Maundy Thursday we recall the events of the Last Supper. Psalm 116 mentions the ‘cup of salvation’ being raised to God, reminding us of Jesus’ words as he shared the chalice with his disciples. The psalm also mentions the death of God’s faithful servant being a ‘thanksgiving sacrifice’, looking ahead to the events of the following day.
