Psalm 97(96): 1-2; 5-6; 9. R.1a, 9b

It is tempting to think that the words of psalm 97 were recalled by Peter, James and John at the Transfiguration. They are certainly most apt. Jesus is fully revealed as ‘the Lord most high above all the earth, exalted far above all gods’.
