Psalm 97

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception falls during the Advent Season (on 8th December). This feast links to preparations for the first Christmas. Mary was born free from all stain of original sin, so that she would be ready to become Jesus’ mother. This connection with Christmas is reflected in the feast day’s use of psalm 97, the same as used on Christmas Day.
