Psalm 98(97): 1; 2-3ab; 3cd-4. R. cf. 2b

This psalm is also the one for Christmas Day; both occasions call for rejoicing and praise of God. Psalm 98 acknowledges the salvific nature of what God has done for all of us, leading to an outpouring of joyful music and song.
