Psalm 137(136): 1-2; 3; 4-5; 6. R.6a

Psalm 137 was written when the people of Israel were being held captive in Babylon. Despite their situation, they retained hope that they would one day return to their homeland, a place where they felt especially close to God. Our journey through Lent should also be one that brings us ever closer to God.
